mmm...water

November 7th, 2006 (08:01 pm)
bored

current mood: bored

The gym was closed today because of a broken water line. So I hauled my gym bag to work and back for nothing and I'm missing my workout today. This is leaving me rather bored and rotting away in front of the TV.

OMG X-mas adds are SO annoying. I'm getting antzie sitting around the apartment. grrrrrrr

I'm LOVING my new job. I have finally finished training (and it was long) and now I'm on the phones. Well really I had 3 weeks of basic training on core accounts, transfers, payments...etc, then 3 weeks on the phones doing just that, then 2 weeks of training doing loans, mortgages, GIC's, RSPs and terms, and now I'm on the phones for good. Technically I'm still in training for 3 weeks while I have floorwalkers helping me and such. TD is a great employer.

I'm single again. I had to cut things off with Jo, it just wasn't working out. Being single isn't something that I'm upset about though, it will be good for me.

The drag show last night was one of the best I've seen ever. Totally worth missing out on sleep.

Day 2 and counting

February 16th, 2006 (02:56 pm)
determined

current mood: determined

I quit smoking yesterday. I'm very excited about it. I'm using the patch and www.quitnet.com for support. Jen and Robin are quitting with me (although Robin hasn't quite quit yet).
Day one was hard, but at the end of the day I felt cleaner and proud of myself and I wasn't craving smokes by the end of it. So far I'm finding it manageable and I'm very determined to succeed. I've been keeping myself busy and carrying little candies around with me to deal with cravings at work.
I don't want another smoke for as long as I live. My body and I may be in disagreement at this point....but I'm stronger then it.

Check this place out if you're looking to quit
QuitNet.com: You can beat the Nicodemon
And if you REALLY want to be inspired to quit, light up a smoke and then watch this while you smoke it.

Gay Preference
You scored -23 (-52 being completely gay, 0 being bisexual, and 52 being completely straight)
You are not exclusively homosexual, but you prefer the same sex over the opposite sex. While you might be willing to fool around with the opposite sex to some extent, you would go all the way with the same sex. If you are sexually inexperienced, it is possible that this could change after you do some experimenting.

I found $20 in an ATM machine

January 10th, 2006 (02:52 pm)

My Supervisor at work called me yesterday to say that I should get a sick note to keep our boss from getting crusty about the 3 days I missed. So I tried to get an appointment with my doctor. That didn't work. I had to go to the medicentre and wait around for and hour and a half to see a doctor for a sick note for 3 days that I couldn't afford to miss. Then I had to PAY for the sick note so I didn't get in trouble at work for days I couldn't afford to miss. It's $10 for a sick note. This is something I knew would happen but makes me angry all the same. When I go to the ATM machine to get out money to pay the doctor with I find $20 in the ATM machine. There's no one around...so of course I take it. Then is essence I was PAID 10 bucks to go to the doctor. I like that arrangement a lot more.

insomnia

January 8th, 2006 (11:47 am)
sleepy

current mood: sleepy

So I finally get to sleep around 3:30am. Jen got home from the bar and woke me up an hour later. It took me until 5:50am to fall asleep again. Then Jen woke me up at 10:30am, realized how little sleep she had gotten and went back to sleep. Now guess what. I can't f*@#ing sleep again. So I've gotten 5.5 hours of sleep, I'm tired, and I can't sleep. I think I'm gonna make some coffee so I can at least be alert.

I'm going to try to convince Jen to come see The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe with me today.
